I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Konstanz, at the Chair of Applied Microeconomics. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy.
My research lies in labor economics and applied microeconomics, focusing on how education, migration and social environments shape integration and individual outcomes.

How do local attitudes shape refugee integration? In this paper, Steven Stillman and I use the quasi-random allocation of asylum seekers across German municipalities to show that stronger support for anti-immigrant politics weakens refugees’ social integration, especially among groups targeted by right-wing campaigns.
The Figure shows the number of answers from the GLES sample in each electoral district. Sample excludes individuals indicating that they will or have voted for the AfD.
